Determined duo push pedal to medal

Foul ball is much too close for comfort

Senior Ty Moak nearly has a close encounter of the worst kind after fouling off a pitch during Vacaville High School’s 6-0 victory over Miramonte on Tuesday afternoon. The victory evened the Bulldogs’ record at 4-4.

Victory served with a side of chin strap

Vacaville High’s Cole Chapman chews on his chin strap on his way to an 11-8 victory over Ponderosa’s Caleb Humbird to advance to the finals at the Sac-Joaquin Section Masters tournament Saturday at Stockton Arena. Chapman is one of nine Bulldogs to qualify for the state championships, which begin Friday in Bakersfield.
