Mother pitches in for batting practice

Tyler Sampson has an advantage in preparing to play for Vacaville National Little League in the District 64 All-Star Tournament for 10- to 12-year-olds. Whenever he wants to take batting practice, his mother can pitch in – literally. Lisa Sampson (left)  is no stranger to  the diamond, having played softball at Fairfield High and UNLV.  When his mother  is pitching and big brother is swinging, 7-year-old Dillan (right) can lend a hand by shagging.
